Returning citizens programs provide formerly incarcerated individuals with the housing, jobs, healthcare, and family support they need to successfully rebuild their lives with dignity.
Rebuilding Returning Citizens Lives
The U-Turn Project is dedicated to helping returning citizens successfully rebuild their lives. We begin by meeting their immediate emergency needs—providing hot meals, fresh clothing, a reliable mailing address, and temporary shelter. Once stabilized, participants are assigned a dedicated Case Manager who immediately jumps into action. The Case Manager guides them through securing vital documents like State IDs and birth certificates, enrolling in SNAP and other government benefits, and launching their journey into employment services.
